Accent marks are available on English characters. Please indicate all accent marks with your wording at the time of order. Accents may be input into the Invitation Wizard utilizing keystroke combinations defined by your operating system. Orders of additional invitations or personalized stationery with no changes from the original order may be arranged through your customer service representative.

Reorders of invitations or personalized stationery with changes should be placed through the Invitation Wizard.

Please note that any order for additional invitations after the initial order has been printed will be charged as a new order. For example, an order of 25 invitations following an order of 150 invitations will be charged the price for 25 invitations, not the additional 25 price.

Invitations are shipped unassembled and unfolded unless otherwise noted.

Invitations4Less.com is pleased to offer the option of full-service assembly and mailing of your invitations order. You will find the option to request information on this service at check-out when placing your order, or you may Contact Us at any time for a quote.

If you prefer to assemble your invitations at home, instructions for assembling your invitations are included with your order or you may also refer to the following general instructions for assembling invitations for mailing.

Invitation ensembles are assembled in order of size with the largest piece, generally the invitation, being on the bottom. If your invitation is to be folded, fold all pieces before beginning assembling for mailing.

Place the invitation face up in front of you and begin adding accessory cards on top of the invitation in the following order.
The Reception Card is placed face up on top of the invitation.
The Reply Envelope is placed face down, envelope flap up, on top of the Reception Card.
The Reply Card is placed printed side up on top of the Reply Envelope, tucked under the flap but not inserted into the envelope.

Any other accessory cards such as Directions or Map Card, Accommodations Card, Pew Card, etc. are placed printed side up on top of the Reply Card set unless they are greater in size than the Reception and Reply Cards in which case they are placed in order of size.

Enclosure cards should be stacked on top of, not placed inside of, folded invitations with the exception of French-fold invitations.

Once your stack is complete, insert the invitation and enclosures into the inner envelope (or single envelope, if applicable) with the invitation in your right hand so that you can read it and the envelope in your left hand with the opening and flap facing right.

You will know you’ve assembled your invitations correctly up to this point if you can pull the invitation out of the inner envelope with your right hand and read it without turning it around or flipping it over.

Insert the stuffed inner envelope into the outer envelope with the inner envelope flap facing the back of the outer envelope and the face of the inner envelope, addressed with your guests’ names, facing out when the outer envelope flap is lifted.

Inner envelopes will not (unless otherwise specified) have adhesive and may be lined. Outer envelopes are generally not lined and will have adhesive on the flap. Envelope seals may be ordered to add a decorative touch to the closure of the outer envelope.

Impressive Bavarian Flap envelopes are available as an upgrade to the standard envelopes listed in the description for Checkerboard invitations. The additional cost is $1 per envelope. Please note: Bavarian Flap envelopes require additional postage if addressed vertically. Consult your local Post Office prior to mailing.

Blank invitations are available in most styles. Please contact us prior to ordering to verify availability and pricing. A “Deckle Edge” refers to one edge of the invitation stock appearing to be torn. This type of detail is usually found on French Fold and Parchment style invitations.

A newer form of professional printing, Digital Printing allows the use of color photographs, multiple ink colors and crisp designs in alternate colors at lower pricing than traditional methods. All stationery pieces printed digitally will be flat with no texture or raised effect to the ink.

Directions or Map cards are available in paper to match most invitations.

Directions may be printed on a coordinating accessory card, if folded, (see large invitation image for view of accessory cards) with the word “Directions” printed on front and the directions lined printed inside. Please contact us for a quote. Alternatively, directions may be printed on a single-card white or ecru stock paper.

Map cards require customer-supplied artwork and may be printed on a single-card white or ecru stock paper. Please contact us for a quote.

Genuine Copperplate Engraving is a time-honored process of printing that results in a high-quality result for your invitations.

The engraving process starts with a copper plate which has been engraved with a mirror image of your wording in the typestyle of your choice. Ink is then applied to the copper plate and wiped clean, leaving only the ink in the engraved indentations remaining. Your stationery is then pressed into the engraved plate at a very high pressure from the back, resulting in the raised printing of the final product. In most cases, the copper plate is returned with the order to be kept as a memento.

Most Bar and Bat Mitzvah Invitations are available with optional Envelope Lining. Invitations with double (inner and outer) envelopes will include lining under the flap of the inner envelope. Not all envelope linings shown are available for every invitation. Please consult the drop-down menu in the Invitation Wizard for the invitation you are considering for the options available for that invitation.

Envelopes for printed items are included as stated in the description and Invitation Wizard for each invitation or printed stationery item. The following items include envelopes unless otherwise noted:

Bar and Bat Mitzvah Invitations: Double or single, as noted in description. Envelope linings are available in most cases. Envelope lining will be in inner envelope when double envelopes are included. Printed outer envelopes may be in raised or flat ink at the discretion of the printer.

Response Cards: Single printed envelopes. Printing may be in raised or flat ink at the discretion of the printer.

Informal Notes: Single blank envelopes (return address printing, in raised or flat ink at the discretion of the printer, is available)

European Paper refers to stocks which have a shimmer finish on the face.

Each invitation available has a variety of lettering styles (or fonts) from which to choose.

To view the available typestyles for customizing your invitation, please enter the Invitation Wizard by clicking on the link to order the invitation you’re considering. On the second page of the Invitation Wizard, you will see the heading “Lettering Style” and a drop-down menu of options. Directly above the drop-down menu will be a line reading “Please select the desired Lettering Style for printing:”. Click on the words “Lettering Style” and your options will open in a new window.

Some invitations offer the opportunity to order a Combination Lettering Style. Please review the entire Lettering Styles page for options.

Combination Lettering Styles and certain elaborate single lettering styles may prompt us to recommend a proof prior to finalizing the printing of your order.

Please note that each printer has their own set of typestyles from which to choose. Not all fonts are available for all invitations.

The printers who supply the invitations and personalized stationery we sell are able to accommodate a variety of non-English languages. In some cases, additional charges for typesetting non-English wording will apply. Please proof-read your wording carefully prior to submitting your order as proof-reading and etiquette review are not available on non-English wording (with the exception of Spanish language in some cases). Proofs of all personalized items with non-English language, including Hebrew, will be required.

Please indicate all accent marks with your wording. Accents may be input into the Invitation Wizard utilizing keystroke combinations defined by your operating system. For Windows users, locate the character map in the Accessories menu under System Tools.

All non-English language orders must be typed. If you prefer to order on paper, please request a copy of our Printable Order Form from your customer service representative.

If your wording requires use of a non-English alphabet, you may provide typeset camera-ready artwork to be professionally-reproduced on your invitations. Please contact us for details and pricing.

A French Fold Invitation refers to the style of invitation which is folded from a letter-size stock paper. The invitation is folded in half, then folded in half again. Generally, there is a design on front and printing inside. The invitation may be portrait or landscape format and is sometimes printed on parchment-style paper.

Impressive Geneva Flap envelopes are available as an upgrade to the standard envelopes listed in the description for Checkerboard invitations. The additional cost is $1 per envelope.

When you submit an order to Invitations4Less.com, either using our online ordering pages or any written media, we guarantee your order will be correct to your specifications with regards to quantities, spelling, typestyle, ink color, and specific instructions regarding set-up of wording on personalized items. We reserve the right to require a typeset proof at customer expense for any item with special set-up instructions and for personalized items with non-English language wording.

If there is any deviation from the agreed-upon set-up of your order, the incorrect portion of your order will be replaced at no additional cost to you.

Please contact us immediately for assistance in obtaining replacement of an incorrect order. Requests for replacement of items must be made within 10 days of receipt of the product. Shipping method for replacement items will be chosen at the discretion of the supplier replacing the product but will not be lesser than the method of shipment used for the original order.

Letterpress is a time-honored printing method that has been around since the 15th century. Letterpress printing in modern times has emerged as an art form and is considered a high-quality printing method for wedding and other social invitations.

Letterpress printing is accomplished through the use of inked moveable type set and locked into a tray which is then pressed into heavy paper stocks to create an impression in the paper.

All forms of payment must be drawn on a US Bank. Your payment is subject to verification. Orders will be processed upon receipt of payment. Due to the personalized nature of the product, COD shipments are not available.

If your invitations include a photo, you will be presented with information on submitting your photo for reproduction on your order receipt. Please review the information carefully and follow instructions exactly to avoid delays in processing your order.

Please note that all photos require a release form from the owner of the copyright prior to production. If the photo is a personal work, you are the owner of the copyright. If the photo is a professional work, please ask the photographer or studio for permission to reproduce the photo(s) on your invitations prior to ordering.

“Photo Lettering” is a term often used by the printers to designate certain typestyles which are produced in a single plate and does not represent Thermography or flat ink.

All invitations are printed using raised ink Thermography unless otherwise specified.

Many Bar or Bat Mitzvah invitations from Checkerboard are accompanied by Pointed Flap envelopes at no additional cost.

Please visit the United States Postal Service web site for details on weight and dimensions used to determine first class postage rates. It is recommended that you assemble a single invitation ensemble, including all enclosures, and take it to your local postal service branch for weighing to determine the exact postage needed prior to mailing your invitations. Note that all square envelopes weighing 1 oz. or less are subject to a “nonmachinable” surcharge.

Invitations4Less.com recommends that proofs be requested on printed stationery items. Proofs allow a preview of the layout, sizing and lettering style chosen and provide additional opportunity to refine your invitations or announcements prior to finalizing the order. Any changes necessary, including change of typestyle, adjusting spelling and layout or quantity, may be made before approval of proofs.

Proofs will be provided in black and white and may or may not show the design of the invitation. Proofs may be emailed in .jpg or .pdf format or faxed. Prior to completing your order in the Invitation Wizard, you will be presented with the option to request proofs. In most cases, an additional charge will be added for the proofing process.

For orders which include request for typeset proofs, only the proof charge plus applicable order deposit will be processed on credit card orders until full proof approval has been granted. Final order balance will be processed at proof approval. Proofs will be required on any order including non-English language or customer-supplied artwork.

Printed envelopes will be printed in raised or flat ink at the discretion of the printer. Flat ink is often used in envelope printing to avoid issues with thermography powder interfering with the seal of the envelope. Flat-printed ink is available on any item upon request.

By requesting this service, you give the representatives of Invitations4Less.com, Inc. or the supplying printer your permission to make minor adjustments to your wording to comply with generally recognized etiquette standards. You have the option of requesting to approve all changes prior to printing.

Please note that a detailed receipt will be provided on the screen following checkout and by email on every online order for which a valid email address has been supplied. It is the customer’s responsibility to review the receipt immediately upon completion of an order through our online ordering “Wizard” and to immediately notify our customer service department of any changes needed. Failure to provide notification of changes immediately may result in the inability to make changes without additional cost incurred.

Invitations4Less.com, Inc. cannot be responsible for dissatisfaction not resulting from deviation from the submitted order.

Although we do our best to accurately describe the product, it is your responsibility to verify that the actual product will meet with your satisfaction prior to placing a full order. We strongly encourage you to order a sample of any printed or personalized item prior to placing your order.

For printed items, we will also be happy to assist you with choosing an appropriate ink or foil color for printing, including offering color samples upon request. We also offer the availability of typeset proofs for review of the set-up prior to full printing and recommend taking advantage of this service.

If there is an error on your part, we will be happy to work with you on a re-order of the same item and may be able to secure a small additional discount for the reprint. Please contact your customer service representative for assistance.

Orders may not be subject to cancellation. Please contact us as soon as possible if circumstances require cancellation on an order already placed. Cancellation fees or full order charges may apply depending on the status of the order process.

Personalized items may not be returned.

Non-personalized Products:

Non-personalized items may be returned within 45 days of delivery of your purchase. The refund or credit will be made at 80% of the original sales price of the merchandise only (to cover 20% restocking fee) and return shipping will be made at the customer’s expense. Please contact your customer service representative prior to returning the merchandise for instructions on handling the return. Returns without prior authorization will be refused.

To request additional samples, simply note the invitation number you’d like to add, then choose it from the drop-down menu on the Sample Order Form. Thermography printing is a process which mimics the look and feel of genuine engraving at a lower price. Thermography is accomplished by applying a special resin powder before the ink on your invitation printing dries. The powder is then bonded to the ink with the use of high heat and results in a raised print effect.

All personalized Invitations, Announcements, Accessory Cards and Save The Date Cards are printed in Thermography unless otherwise specified in the description of that item.

Printed envelopes will be printed in raised or flat ink at the discretion of the printer. Flat ink is often used in envelope printing to avoid issues with thermography powder interfering with the seal of the envelope. To inquire about raised or flat ink on envelopes included in your order, please contact us.

Flat-printed ink is available on any item upon request.

Engraving is available on select invitations. Please contact us to inquire and request a quote.

Tri-Fold is a term used to refer to invitations or programs which have two folds and three panels. The folds may result in a Z-shaped fold-out or a U-shaped fold-out.

On the second page of the Invitation Wizard, you will see the heading “Lettering Style” and a drop-down menu of options. Directly above the drop-down menu will be a line reading “Please select the desired Lettering Style for printing:”. Click on the words “Lettering Style” and your options will open in a new window.

Some invitations offer the opportunity to order a Combination Lettering Style. Please review the entire Lettering Styles page for options.

Combination Lettering Styles and certain elaborate single lettering styles may prompt us to recommend a proof prior to finalizing the printing of your order.

Please note that each printer has their own set of typestyles from which to choose. Not all fonts are available for all invitations.

Vellum refers to any paper, which is not 100% cotton. If the stock is referred to as “Translucent Vellum”, it is a sheer sheet. If the invitation is referred to simply as “vellum”, it is not “translucent vellum”. Please inquire with our Customer Service Department for additional details.

Some browsers shrink large images to fit your screen and make it difficult to view the font sizes, designs, etc.

In most cases, you may hover your cursor over, or click on, the image and a small box will pop up with an arrow on it. By clicking on that box, you will enlarge the image for proper viewing one time.
